New footbridge near Llanychaer
The local community group Llais Llanychaer was awarded a 20,000 grant from the Sports Council Wales for the construction of a bridge over the Gwaun in order to create a 2km walk around the valley. The bridge, which arrived in kit form, was assembled by villagers with the help of the Pembrokeshire National Park. The bridge replaces one that existed at this point generations ago.
