The church of St Nicholas - table tomb
The church of St Nicholas - table tomb
View northeast across table tomb towards the north side of the chancel and the effigy of Sir Richard Southwell, set in a cage of columns in a place where there once would have been an Easter Sepulchre.

After the collapse of the church tower in the 18th century, a thatched bell cage was erected in the northwestern corner of the churchyard; it houses one bell. The aisle is separated from the chancel by an uninscribed table tomb (seen here), with two squints (one seen here) into the chancel at each end. The walls are adorned with a number of interesting corbels. The church is kept locked but a key is readily available. For more information see: LinkExternal link
