Cold milling machine in transit
Cold milling machine in transit
From my vast experience (15 minutes on Google) I can report that this is the top-of-the-range Wirtgen W2200 cold milling machine, used to strip old asphalt off roads for reclamation and re-use. It can strip up to 2.2 metres wide and 350mm deep in a single pass, has a 900 hp engine and weighs over 43 tonnes in operation. It is owned by National Road Planing, part of the Tarmac Group. The operator's cab folds down in transit to avoid embarrassing encounters with low bridges or power cables.
