The church of St John the Evangelist was built in the 13th /14th century but has been much restored since; the furniture dates mainly from the mid 19th century. The unusual and interesting font, which once stood in the church of St Mary in Watton, dates from the 14th century and the panelling and reredos > TF9202 : The church of St John the Evangelist - sanctuary on the east wall are fashioned from the medieval rood screen. There is an old stained glass roundel in one of the north wall windows > TF9202 : The church of St John the Evangelist - glass roundel.
