Ribblehead Quarry sub-station
Ribblehead Quarry sub-station
The sub-station stands alongside the access road to Ribblehead Quarry nature reserve. The Ribblehead sidings are behind the building. In the year 2000 Hanson Aggregates passed ownership of the quarry to English Nature. Some tree planting was carried out, and the process of natural recolonisation is being monitored.
