The 'Elvis Rock'
The 'Elvis Rock'
The 'Elvis Rock' beside the A44 near Eisteddfa Gurig. Originally painted in 1962 to support the candidature of Plaid Cymru candidate Islwyn Ffowc Elis it was rapidly altered to 'Elvis'. Repainted many times over the years and a familiar landmark to generations of people going to Aberystwyth.
