Offa's Dyke Path opened here
This stone marks the official opening of Offa's Dyke Path in July 1971 by Lord Hunt (leader of the 1953 Everest expedition) who lived a few miles from here. It is not quite halfway, being 80 miles south to Chepstow but 97 miles north to Prestatyn.
