Brimham Lodge
Brimham Lodge
This superb farmhouse was built in 1661 by Thomas Braithwaite of Ambleside, supposedly for his mistress. It stand a little to the north of the original monastic lodge that was part of the Fountains Abbey estate. There are a few remains of this earlier lodge in a nearby field wall. The lodge is now a working farm and offers B&B and holiday cottage accommodation.
