Engine House
Engine House
This prominent object must be seen by many travellers on the M5 motorway, but how many know what it is? Victorian/Edwardian engineers went to great trouble to create elegant buildings to house their new sanitary water supplies. This one is no exception, beautifully created in the Arts & Craft style, it is well preserved and still functions, albeit with electricity instead of steam powering the pumps.
