The Carreg-y-Llam Quarry road
The Carreg-y-Llam Quarry road
This road was a recent development. Up to the 1950s the products of the quarry were removed by sea transport from its own pier and the galleries and pier were linked by internal inclines. The substitution of road transport made it necessary in the final years of the quarry to construct a road linking the quarry to the public road system.
