Houghton Lodge
Houghton Lodge
Houghton Lodge and its grounds have been used as locations for several television costume dramas and films, including the BBC adaptation of David Copperfield, and the film 'Wilde' about the life of Oscar Wilde starring Stephen Fry, and Jude Law. The house was built about 1800, probably by Nash for the Pitt-Rivers family as a fishing lodge, and is one of the earliest examples of the Cottage Orné style of architecture. Grade II* Listed.
