SX3467 : St Ive: inside Cadsonbury

taken 10 years ago, near to Newbridge, Cornwall, Great Britain

St Ive: inside Cadsonbury
St Ive: inside Cadsonbury
The ramparts have been eroded with time and were probably surmounted with a palisade when constructed. As far as is known there have been no archaeological excavations on this site. Looking east-south-east towards Norwood, across the Lynher valley. Incidentally the National Trust prefers 'Cadsonbury' to the Ordnance Survey's 'Cadson Bury'
