Ashcombe Bottom
Ashcombe Bottom
Part of the Blackcap nature reserve and one of the few wooded areas left on the Downs most being grubbed when they returned to agriculture during the Second World War. This view looks north from the Bridleway that crosses the bottom of the square. Blackcap is to the left and Mount Harry to the right in the background.
