taken 10 years ago, near to Rastrick, Calderdale, Great Britain

Strangstry Quarry Track with Edge Stones
Strangstry Quarry Track with Edge Stones
The vertically placed edges stones clearly pre-date the shale quarry workings, which can be seen in the background The old track is running uphill from right to left. The 1:50,000 OS sheet needs revision to show the current western edge of Strangstry Wood, which is shown correctly on the 1:25,000 sheet.
