NJ2706 : The Laird's Bed

The Laird's Bed
The Laird's Bed
Summit of Carn Leac Saigdeir. This appears to be an old survey station, predating the trig pillar. Possibly this led to the name, the soldiers being from the Ordnance Survey. It is a small low tor of granite.

The folk by the summit were behaving rather suspiciously. They were not too happy at my presence, and left only to return after I had left the summit area, they spent a long time doing something by the trig. I had suspected geocachers, but no cache has yet turned up here... I wonder what was going on. Friends on the same hill that day (I did not know that they were there) reported similar furtive activity on Camock Hill...
