This is the only part of the house accessible to the public here at Margam "Castle".
The large room is almost completely filled with the masonry staircase, which seems ridiculously over-engineered by modern standards. It is so big that there is almost nowhere to stand for a decent view of it.
Information boards nearby give some history of the house and its owner but mysteriously neglect to mention the fire that ruined the interior of the other rooms.
