This picturesque old building on the edge of Kirkby Malham has a benchmark on the right hand side. The small opening high above the door may be an owl window.
The owner has contacted me with the following information:
The building is known as a Pig 'Ole where, not surprisingly, a pig would have been kept. It is seventeenth century in origin.
