Nant Gwrtheyrn - the accursed valley
Nant Gwrtheyrn - the accursed valley
The Nant is seen by some as a God forsaken hole, by others as paradise in miniature. Legend has it that the valley was thrice cursed by missionary monks chased away from the valley by the inhabitants. The three curses were "never shall any ground in this accursed valley be consecrates", "never shall a marriage be solemnised between a man and a woman born in this valley" and "the valley shall live three times and die three times and at the last will become a deserted ruin forever."
