Site of Queenborough Castle
Site of Queenborough Castle
There is a sign, a car park and a grassy mound to indicate the original site of Edward III's important castle, built in 1366. A plaque set in the ground at the top of the mound (behind the bushes in this picture) reads "Site of pump house with two wells 275ft deep".
