Liverpool Overhead Railway plaque
Liverpool Overhead Railway plaque
The Liverpool Overhead Railway (known locally as the "Dockers' Umbrella") ran from Seaforth through the docklands to a terminus at Dingle. Electrified from the beginning, it closed in 1956 facing prohibitive maintenance costs. This plaque is on a small part of one of two support columns still in place near the Cunard Building.
