Derby cathedral tower
Derby cathedral tower
The fine tower of Derby cathedral dominates the top end of Irongate. It was built in 1530 and is 212' high. In the distance can be seen the equally fine, if rather smaller, tower of St Mary's Roman Catholic church, designed by Pugin.
