Three Rise locks, Bingley, Leeds and Liverpool Canal
Three Rise locks, Bingley, Leeds and Liverpool Canal
Some distance below the Five Rise is the slightly less daunting Three Rise flight. The canal just east of here has been diverted slightly to the north of its previous course, in order to construct the Bingley Bypass road along the north side of the railway. The diversion involved the demolition of three rows of terrace houses.
