All Saints Church - baptismal font detail
The centre panel depicts St Thomas of Canterbury. The round tower church of All Saints, restored in Victorian times, has a number of interesting medieval survivals such as the rood stairs; an interesting and unique 15th century baptismal font (detail seen here), the panels of which were recoloured in the 1930s, depicting saints on panels and stem and a wall painting depicting the narrative of St Christopher, believed by some to be the finest in all England. A 13th century coffin slab, now serving as a bench, is inserted into the south wall. The church is kept locked but a key is available. For more information see: LinkExternal link
