Canning Town: Railway lines
Canning Town: Railway lines
Three different railway lines are on view here for the price of one. In the foreground and to the right are the rusting rails of Network Rail's mothballed North Woolwich branch, closed in December 2006. Beyond the cable rack is the Jubilee Line with a train bound for Stratford about to enter Canning Town station, while on the embankment beyond, and by the pale blue container, is the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). This view was taken from a short side road leading off west from Silvertown Way.
