NN8097 : Gleann Chomhraig, the forest edge

taken 10 years ago, near to Drumguish, Highland, Great Britain

Gleann Chomhraig, the forest edge
Gleann Chomhraig, the forest edge
The edge of Inveruglas Forest with the high granite hills on the other side of Glen Feshie. The snow has picked out the Foxhunter path up Carn Bn Mr.
The forest fence has chestnut paling applied to it. This is to make the fence visible to low flying grouse. Fences have been blamed for the reduction of populations of capercaillie and black grouse.
