The two surviving buildings of the old Dinas Junction Station
The two surviving buildings of the old Dinas Junction Station
Dinas Junction was the meeting point of the WHR and the L&NWR/LMS lines. The WHR entered from the Porthmadog direction beneath the bridge arch on the left. The standard gauge line from Afonwen came in on the right beneath a second arch, that which is now used by the restored WHR. Both lines shared a central platform and the same, now renovated, booking office. The building on the left, the second of the two old station buildings, was the old WHR goods shed.
