SD5747 : Winny Bank fell, Bleasdale

taken 13 years ago, 4 km from Oakenclough, Lancashire, Great Britain

Winny Bank fell, Bleasdale
Winny Bank fell, Bleasdale
Looking eastwards from Hazelhurst. The public footpath to Fiendsdale Head is visible, climbing the fell from left to right. This now leads to land opened up under the Countryside Rights Of Way Act - previously access was restricted to a very few public paths. This path leads over the fells, down Fiendsdale to the Trough of Bowland road - a great walk [but a long way back].
