SE4242 : Faded elegance

Faded elegance
Faded elegance
A beautiful old house on the edge of the Bramham estate. Built in the 17th century, it appears to have been remodelled in the mid 18th century. Note the stone drip mouldings above the second floor windows which no longer fit the window shapes, and the inseertion of Venetian style windows on the ground floor. What a pity that such a fine building should be in a state of disrepair.
