TR2235 : Sea wall & beach

taken 10 years ago, near to Folkestone, Kent, Great Britain

Sea wall & beach
Sea wall & beach
The effect of wave refraction within the artificial bay created by the two rock groynes is clear to see. The pebbles have built up to the sides while at the apex of the bay there is far less shingle built up against the sea wall. Walkers need to be aware that at some points you cannot just step off the wall onto the beach!
