SE1221 : Strangstry Quarry Track at the Railway

taken 16 years ago, near to Rastrick, Calderdale, England

Strangstry Quarry Track at the Railway
Strangstry Quarry Track at the Railway
By the time the track from the old Quarry on the ridge above has reached the point where it was cut by the Railway it has become a watercourse. Nevertheless the fence wall marking the track can be seen behind the tree in the middle of the picture. Although the railway was probably built 100 years after the track, perhaps a level crossing was provided.
