The Summit of Worcestershire Beacon
The Summit of Worcestershire Beacon
In addition to the trig point and toposcope, notice the metal loop emerging from the granite. There are several intriguing man made objects and other signs of man's activity in this area. During World War Two the Home Guard had an Observation Post somewhere up here according to Mick Wilks superb book "The Defence of Worcestershire" (Logaston Press) [ISBN 978 1904396 80 2].
