Devil's Bridge Station
Devil's Bridge Station
Looking almost like a model railway, this is a general view of the station from the road bridge at the west of the station. Various siding layouts have been used over the years but have been simplified since the cessation of freight activities in the 1930s. SN7376 : Devil's Bridge Station - Spring 1988 shows the length of the siding in 1988. The corrugated iron station building was opened in 1902 and extended in 1905. It is the only building to have survived from the inaugural year of the railway. The portakabin is the station shop and cafe and was installed in 1978.
