NN3310 : Rob Roy's Cave

taken 21 years ago, near to Inversnaid, Stirling, Great Britain

Rob Roy's Cave
Rob Roy's Cave
Near Inversnaid on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond. It's hard to get to; either use the foot ferry, or take the long, but beautiful single track road from Aberfoyle. From the hotel it's about a half mile walk and then scramble amongst the large boulders. It would be impossible to find if the word "CAVE" hadn't been painted on the side.
