Sarratt: The Cricketers Pond
Sarratt: The Cricketers Pond
So-named because of the nearby public house, the pond has recently been restored. In the late 19th and early 20th century the landlord of The Cricketers was also the village wheelwright and used the pond to shrink hot iron onto wooden cartwheels.
