Hartside cairn
Hartside cairn
A substantial cairn which would've been erected around 1897 to celebrate the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria. There is a plaque on the cairn, see: LinkExternal link. This is the highest point in the local area and there are superb views in all directions. Well worth the climb!
