NB2541 : Beinn Rathacleit from south end of Loch Rathacleit

taken 13 years ago, 4 km from C?rlabhagh, Na h-Eileanan an Iar, Great Britain

Beinn Rathacleit from south end of Loch Rathacleit
Beinn Rathacleit from south end of Loch Rathacleit
As can be seen the south end of Loch Rathacleit is relatively shallow and somewhat weedy, this southern end is almost cut off from the long, thin, northern end of the loch by a sand bar which almost crosses the loch just at its most narrow point. Take great care should you elect to stand on the sand bar as it is, quite literally, a house built on sand and could fail at any time.
