Saint Peter and Paul's Church, Great Casterton
Saint Peter and Paul's Church, Great Casterton
Saint Peter and Paul's Church is plain, whitewashed and almost unrestored. There are 13C foliaged capitals and a square Norman font decorated with diamond shapes. There are Norman arches, an Elizabethan (Georgian?) pulpit, and ironwork on the door. The tower is 15C. The churchyard has examples of carved and winged Ketton headstones. (The church was locked when visited 1999) Behind is a pleasant Old Rectory.
