Part of the defences that line the beach that stretches for some 12 miles North of Aberdeen. Built during World War 2 in anticipation of an invasion by Nazi Germany the defences consisted of anti-tank blocks, barbed wire entanglements, glider traps, pillboxes and large gun emplacements.
