This statue of John Greig is a tribute to the lives lost in 3 tragic accidents that have occurred at Ibrox Stadium, 1902, 1961 and 1971. On the 2nd January 1971, 66 people lost their lives. Mr Greig was the captain of Rangers F.C at the time of the tragedy.
