NH3527 : Former plantation

taken 11 years ago, 4 km from Corrimony, Highland, Great Britain

Former plantation
Former plantation
This plantation of non-native conifers has been cleared as part of the process of reverting the Corrimony RSPB reserve to native woodland. Regrowth has been killed off and scrub is developing. This rank grassland and scrub is good habitat for Grasshopper Warbler and one was 'reeling' from a dead conifer.
