Clipsham topiary avenue
Clipsham Hall, a large 18C mansion set in parkland, has an avenue of mostly yew topiary depicting birds and animals on the tops and various designs in relief on the sides. It is managed by Forest Enterprise and there is open access from the E end where the road crosses the county boundary. The trimming was started by Amos Alexander in 1870.
