This is the alignment of the former Kingston Gypsum Mine railway to the west of the crossing with Nottingham Road (SK4927 : Bridge under the railway). To the left and right of the picture can just be seen part of the brick abutments of a bridge over a small stream which are the only identifiable remains of the railway. It followed the line of the hedge directly away from the camera.
