Lon Bryn Parc
Lon Bryn Parc
This lane lead down to the long vanished Brynrefail station on the Dinorwig Quarries' Padarn Railway. It was also the place where around 1947-8 the German POWs employed in draining the marshes, seen in the background, would be assembled to await transport back to camp. We village kids would perch on the rock to the right - Craig Bryn Parc - to watch the spectacle. An army lorry half sunk into the bog also provided hours of fun.
