The Church of St Nicholas, Partney
The Church of St Nicholas, Partney
The oldest parts of the church are at least 650 years old. The chancel was rebuilt in 1828, the nave and aisles 1862 and the tower in 1910. The weather vane, in the form of a ship, is in honour St Nicholas, the patron saint of seamen, and was put up in 1952. There is a statue of St Nicholas above the entrance door.

The shot was taken from the middle of the road, which would have been very difficult before the village was by-passed.
