The Gallery
One of the converted barns, now housing shops, at Wroxham Barns. The buildings that now house the varied shops of Wroxham Barns once used to be disused farm sheds and barns. Restoration and conversion work commenced in January 1983 and in May 1983 the shops were opened to the public. A children’s funfair was added in 1988 and Junior Farm opened in 1992, and today Wroxham Barns is visited by an average of 350 000 people every year. Amongst the crafts showcased through the years are spinning, batik, bookbinding, basketmaking, furniture-making, lacemaking, needlecraft, woodturning, minerals and jewellery, glassblowing, painting and printing.
