SK5330 : The scarp of Gotham hill

taken 9 years ago, near to Gotham, Nottinghamshire, Great Britain

The scarp of Gotham hill
The scarp of Gotham hill
This is the steepest part of the hillside and a small patch of coarse woodland has developed (mainly hawthorn with a smattering of broadleaf trees). This is presumably because it was too steep even for grazing. It is named Round Spinney on the 1:25000 map.
