Bishop's Castle
Bishop's Castle
In Norman times the Bishops of Hereford were charged with the task of defending the Welsh Marches and a castle was built here along with a number of other towns in the border area; the name 'Bishop's Castle' has stuck. The town hall dominates the top of the High Street.
