Forest of Birse
Forest of Birse
Nearly a treeless landscape today in Upper Feughside where once was Caledonian Pine Forest. The farm is Ballochan, one of the highest houses in the glen. The track takes walkers to The Fungle Road, an old drove road across The Mounth, between Deeside and Tarfside.
