Chegworth Mill
Chegworth Mill
Sluice and overshot wheel of Chegworth Mill - one of the 27 recorded mills on the 12 miles of the River Len, 23 of which were mentioned in the Domesday Book. Most were built to grind wheat but several changed to fulling mills with the influx of Huguenot cloth workers in the 17th century.
