TM0307 : Salt Marshes

taken 13 years ago, 3 km from Bradwell on Sea, Essex, Great Britain

Salt Marshes
Salt Marshes
The salt marshes near Bradwell that exist between the sea defences and the sea shore are rich with bird life and are a nature reserve. The concrete structure is a World War 2 pill box - this area was a possible area of invasion should the Germans have done so. It was embedded into the sea defences and faced both seaward and inland.
